Sydneys wettest summer in two decades

As the soggy summer draws to a close, with 44 days of rain so far, Sydneysiders and tourists have turned to the science of weather prediction to plan their life, sometimes from morning, noon and night.

It has rained on 44 days of summer so far, above the average of 36 days.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts the showers will stick around this week, putting Sydney on track for its wettest summer since 1998-99 when it rained on 49 days.
