This is the Crystal Lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar resort, Chile, an artificial paradise that’s large enough for sailing and clocks in at three fifths of a mile long. The pool opened in December 2006 after nearly five years of construction work.
It sucks in seawater from the adjacent Pacific Ocean and filters it using a state of the art system. It also hold the Guinness record for the world’s deepest – so if you don’t feel like diving 35 meters (115ft) to the bottom, it might be best to bring some spare goggles.
