Norwegian takes you now to Florida

Norwegian launches Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as a new destination from Copenhagen and Stockholm. At the same time, tickets for the winter season from Oslo and Stockholm to New York and Bangkok are made available for sale.

“Long-haul flying has for way too long been characterized by expensive fares and limited flexibility. The great reception Norwegian has received after launching low-fare tickets to New York and Bangkok shows that there is a need for competitive fares from Scandinavia to the U.S. and Asia.” says Norwegian spokes person.

When checking flights to Bangkok and Florida the cost is no less than other airlines. Approximate price to Bangkok is 850 Euro and to Florida 780 Euro. Check prices here.

The amazing Northern Lights

Watch the amazing Northern Lights viewed at its best in Lappland. It is for sure a once in a lifetime experience to have.

To see the Northern Lights, also known as the auroral oval, you must travel north. Your best bet is to go somewhere above the Arctic or/and sub-Arctic. The most easily accessible of these destinations are Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Canada. Top locations include the Aurora Sky Station at Abisko in Swedish Lapland, Hotel Ranga in Iceland’s southern countryside and just outside Tromso in northern Norway.

And remember to dress for very cold weather.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen expands

The plan is to enlarge the terminal with a new pier enabling more planes to dock. The terminal will also get a new arrival and departure hall, as well as new luggage claim facilities.

Currently, Oslo Airport Gardermoen has a capacity of 23 million people on a yearly basis. When the first part of the expansion is completed, the airport will be able to handle 28 million passengers per year.
