Scotland has been named as the world’s top travel destination by CNN Travel. Scotland stood apart from other leading business tourism destinations for its conference, event and hospitality product. Aimed at raising wider business tourism opportunities and awareness of Scotland as a land of ‘outstanding beauty’, the Year of Natural Scotland will identify key business aspects with a ‘natural’ message, from food and drink, CSR, outdoor incentive programmes and social itineraries including heritage, culture and sport.
The newly-unveiled Scottish National Trail and Disney film Brave were also cited as key reasons to visit.
